How about a fresh batch of beignets? Keep ‘em coming till you pass out? Well, maybe not that many. We plan on serving up some delicious man catchin’ beignets’ – but in a tea! After all, the quickest way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.
To perfectly capture the essence of specialty New Orleans beignets, we start with a base of caramel-flavored oolong tea. The roasted oolong tea leaves with caramel really taste like fried pastry dough; we also add a hint of coconut and vanilla to sweeten the deal. Just like real beignets, if you add a little sugar more of the flavors will come out!
Steeping Instructions: Use one heaping teaspoon per 8 oz cup of water Let steep 3-4 minutes in hot water 200° (just under boiling) longer steep times will bring out more bitterness.
Ingredients: Oolong tea, hazelnut brittle pieces, black tea, almonds, pearl salt, flavor, sweet coconut shreds, vanilla pieces, licorice root, calendula.
